The Child and Special Needs Unit Program Director maintains direct oversight of the clinical and administrative operations of Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospitals’ Child and Special Needs Unit. <li>Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of the program, follow the cleaning schedule, and report any maintenance issues. </li>
<li>Protect each individual's rights and maintain confidentiality of any information relative to people.</li>
<li>Complete any administrative duties as assigned.</li>
<li>Participate in all required meetings.</li>
<li>Maintain all appropriate certifications including FA/CPR and PABC. </li>
<li>Assist all individuals in entering and exiting the vehicle and ensure all individuals have properly secured seatbelts.</li>
<li>Interact with patience and sensitivity in all contact with individuals, family members, staff, and others.</li>
<li>Operate the vehicle at all times within all federal, state, and local laws.</li>
<li>Have good knowledge of routes and locations of all houses, day facilities, and emergency locations.</li>
<li>Maintain and carry emergency fact sheets, daily attendance, and trip route sheets.</li>
<li>Complete a quick vehicle safety checklist before beginning your assigned route and report any issues to your supervisor immediately.</li>
<li>Immediately notify the supervisor of any variance in route time exceeding 15 minutes.</li>
<li>Maintain all required certifications</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
</ol>
Required Education/Experience:
<ol>
<li>A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.</li>
<li>Must be 20.5 years of age or older, with at least 3 years of driving experience.</li>
<li>Must have a valid MA driver's license and a good driving record history with no more than 2 moving violations in the last three years. </li>
</ol>
Required Skills/Knowledge:
<ol>
<li>Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.</li>
<li>Ability to interact with patience and sensitivity in all contact with individuals, residential staff, parents, and facility staff.</li>
</ol>
Required Background Check:
<ol>
<li>Requires acceptable annual CORI according to Bridgewell policy and a fingerprint-based national criminal background check per DDS regulations and policies. </li>
<li>A Drug Screen and physical must be conducted as soon as possible after a successful interview; regular employment is contingent upon acceptable results according to Bridgewell policy.</li>
<li>An annual driving record history will be verified and results are subject to MART approval based on regulations and annual MART audits</li>
