About the position:

Job Summary:
HW Staffing is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a high-performing team on 2nd shift at our Ayer, MA manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll oversee daily production operations, ensure safety and quality standards are upheld, and act as the facility’s primary decision-maker during your shift. Ideal for a candidate with strong leadership skills, manufacturing experience, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Principal Responsibilities:

<li>Lead, coach, and motivate a team of ~25 production staff to meet goals in safety, quality, and productivity</li>
<li>Monitor KPIs and implement adjustments to ensure operational efficiency</li>
<li>Set clear performance expectations and provide real-time feedback and support</li>
<li>Ensure equipment reliability and reduce downtime through proactive oversight</li>
<li>Promote a culture of safety and enforce Health, Safety, FDA, and GMP compliance</li>
<li>Collaborate with HR on hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations</li>
<li>Validate food safety and product quality checks throughout the shift</li>
<li>Provide real-time problem-solving support for production issues</li>
<li>Foster teamwork and communication across all departments on off-shifts</li>
</ul>
Requirements &amp; Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred</li>
<li>Minimum 3 years in high-speed manufacturing</li>
<li>Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required</li>
<li>Strong communication and decision-making skills</li>
<li>Comfortable in fast-paced environments and adaptable to change</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and production tracking software</li>
<li>Experience in consumer-packaged goods is a plus</li>
