Job Details
We're seeking a dynamic, experienced Plant Manager to join our well-established and growing team. This is a permanent, full-time position, responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. The successful candidate will be an effective leader with a strong background in plant management, food safety and GMP.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
2. Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
3. Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
4. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
5. Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime.
6. Commit to plant safety procedures.
7. Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
Qualifications:
1. Proven work experience as a Plant Manager for a minimum of 5 years.
2. Proven managerial experience with a track record of effective team management and results-driven leadership.
3. Knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources).
4. Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
5. Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
6. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, and plant management principles.
7. Strong leadership and operations management skills essential.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Experience in the food manufacturing industry is required.
