Job Description

Connected Systems is seeking a Quoting Engineer or Cost Estimator for a perm/direct hire opportunity in the Chelmsford, MA area.

Key Responsibilities:

Review customer drawings, specifications, and BOMs to prepare accurate cost estimates for cable, harness, and electromechanical assemblies.
Identify required components, materials, and processes for manufacturing.
Collaborate with procurement, production, and engineering teams to ensure accurate and feasible quotes.
Communicate with customers to clarify requirements and provide timely responses.
Manage quoting activities using an ERP system.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for quoting processes.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of quoting or estimating experience in contract manufacturing, specializing in cable assemblies, wire harnesses, or electromechanical products.
Strong knowledge of electrical components, connectors, wire specifications, and assembly techniques.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards a plus.
Experience with ERP and quoting software.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
