Job DescriptionSalary: $20.00 to $32.00 
Markley is New Englands largest and longest operating multi-tenant, mission-critical telecommunication, and data center with facilities in Boston and Lowell MA. Markley Properties is looking to add a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to the team. This position requires the knowledge to understand electrical, plumbing and small appliances. This person will be responsible for assisting with daily routine maintenance and upkeep of the building.
 
This person is required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and snow/rainstorms if needed. Shifts sometimes vary depending on company events, tenant tours, and projects. This position is required to work in Lowell to support internal/external projects when needed.
 
Roles and Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Maintain a facility wide program of repainting areas as required to maintain a well-kept appearance.</li>
<li>Provide finishing requirements, as directed, as part of renovation, maintenance, or construction projects, perform repairs as required to walls and associated surfaces due to damage or wear to maintain integrity of appearance.</li>
<li>Perform masonry activities to include but not limited to CMU/Substrate repairs, retaining wall repairs, placing new concrete and CMU for projects as needed.</li>
<li>Maintain an adequate inventory of stock and painting equipment to ensure a minimum of delay when working from authorized work orders.</li>
<li>Store all flammable products inside the flammable storage cabinet provided in the paint shop. The paint shop must be kept clean and organized and free of accumulated trash and combustible debris.</li>
<li>Must follow all product use and warnings identified on all product packaging and ensure that all products purchased and stocked have an MSDS on file.</li>
<li>Complete all assigned tasks with an emphasis on tenant, visitor, and staff safety, working to eliminate any trip hazards associated with the current task and ensure the frequent use of wet paint signs as required.</li>
<li>Must be prepared to work with a wide range of people, from team members, laborers, sub-contractors, and other departments.</li>
<li>Ability to repair and adjust inoperable doors and hardware.</li>
<li>Ability to replace/repair damaged or missing ceiling tiles, cove base and carpet repairs, hang boards, pictures, signs, and other wall fastened items, and minor furniture repairs.</li>
<li>Ability to perform general carpentry functions, maintain a professional/safe and clean environment, participate in projects as needed.</li>
<li>Ability to perform all aspects of painting.</li>
<li>Perform work offsite as needed.</li>
<li>Required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and snow/rainstorms when needed.</li>
<li>Support a wide variety of manual labor activities for the team.</li>
</ul>

 Experience 
<ul>
<li>3-5 years of commercial painting experience.</li>
<li>Familiarity working with Greco and Titan spray guns.</li>
<li>Familiarity working with Von Duprin and Corbin Russwin door hardware.</li>
<li>General carpentry skills</li>
<li>Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.</li>
