Our client's current needs are for first shift (8am-3pm), second shift (3pm-11pm), and third shift (11pm-8am) Key responsibilities: *Initiate and maintain appropriate social interactions with residents and assist residents as needed *Conduct rounds of shelter to maintain safety and security of residents *Assist with preparation, serving and cleanup of meals during the shift *Intervene if a resident in crisis (medical, mental health, interpersonal) *Complete assigned tasks of shift *Maintain order and cleanliness of the shelter *Monitor bedrooms, bathrooms, and dayrooms to maintain the safety and security of residents and the premises *Attend and participate in monthly staff meeting and any other required trainings *May be involved in room clean ups and packing rooms CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS &amp; EXPERIENCE *Previous work with homeless individuals and/or families, disabilities or other at-risk populations *Ability to work alone and handle crises with good judgment, adequate communication skills - both written and oral *Current CPR and First Aid Certifications. *Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend stairs up to three or more sets, frequently move equipment weighing up to 5-20 lbs., and remain in a stationary position 50% of the time Additional Essential Functions *Sitting, standing, reaching above, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, traversing, thinking, speaking, writing, concentrating, interaction with others.
