The role of the Assembly Technician I is to perform and ensure production assembly tasks are actively completed to meet production schedules while upholding the highest level of Quality. As an individual contributor and a member of the QC Review and Release group you will be responsible for the completion of the work assigned to yourself. In this role you will contribute to the overall success of the Quality Control (QC) Department.
Under general supervision and following established procedures and guidelines, this position supplies assistance and support to the manufacturing operations (consumables or reagent department areas) and R&amp;D groups. 
As a member of the Review/Release Quality Control Group in Waltham, you will be responsible for performing the review of Device History Records (DHR), the inspection of labels/final products, the performance of line clearances, and possibly the processing of Non-Conforming Materials in support of Manufacturing's schedule. The employee will be skilled in the inspection of consumables and fluid manufacturing products. The employee will be trained to electronically transact product to Finished Goods. The employee will be responsible for internally retrieving various DHRs per the DHR Retrieval Protocol. The employee will train Intern, Level I, and Level II Review and Release inspectors.
Other Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities include:

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Quality Engineer to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving quality systems, conducting root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Maintain quality systems in compliance with ISO 13485 and industry standards such as IPC-A-610, and J-STD-001.</li>
<li>Investigate customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and lead corrective/preventive action efforts (CAPA).</li>
<li>Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, supply chain) to resolve quality issues and ensure product conformance.</li>
<li>Develop inspection methods, process control plans, and quality documentation (FMEA, Control Plans, PPAPs).</li>
<li>Conduct internal and external audits to verify compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.</li>
<li>Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, defect rates, and returns.</li>
<li>Collaborate with suppliers to address incoming material quality issues and drive supplier corrective actions.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Quality, or a related field.</li>
<li>2+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in an EMS or electronics manufacturing environment.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 5S, RC/CA, PFMEA).</li>
<li>Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as IPC standards, and ISO 13485 or AS9100 (preferred).</li>
<li>Proficiency in quality software and Microsoft Office Suite.</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Skills:
<ul>
<li>Familiarity with IPC standards, RoHS compliance, ESD and other industry regulations.</li>
<li>Familiarity with electronic components, PCB assembly (SMT &amp; through-hole), assembly documentation, and inspection techniques.</li>
