General Summary
The Associate Engineer works under the guidance of a Senior level engineer by assisting in routine engineering activities in support of the manufacturing of semiconductor products. 
Responsibilities

<li>Set up of manufacturing areas, process flows, and applicable support software</li>
<li>Manufacturing support, disposition of material, addressing production issues</li>

<li>Creates and maintains technical documentation and generation of DCN’s.</li>

SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, the R&amp;D Engineer is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects leading to new product development and new chemical processes/methods to improve company market share or production efficiencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Performs inspections and sets testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products.</li>
<li>Researches new material types that align with GCS core competencies and maintains a competitive edge in core industries.</li>
<li>Acts as a technical resource to recommend existing GCS materials, or develop new materials, to meet current/prospective customer needs.</li>
<li>Works in cross-functional teams to perform root cause analysis for production issues.</li>
<li>Recommends/performs engineering trials to improve current processes or create new ones.</li>
<li>Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for material handling/hazard protocols.</li>
<li>Generates material technical data sheets for internal and external use.</li>
<li>Executes material testing and analyzes test results.</li>

<li>Supports the introduction, application and continued use of Statistical Process Controls (SPC) for Manufacturing.</li>

A Day in the Life of a Senior Multimodal Engineer 
You are at the forefront of brainstorming creative solutions for challenging projects. You lead, support, and mentor an interdisciplinary team to deliver multimodal transportation, and Complete Streets design projects from concept to construction. You'll help design infrastructure in a wide range of contexts from roadway reconstructions and streetscapes in highly urban settings to signature trail projects in suburban and rural areas that highlight and enhance the natural environment. You work on a wide spectrum of projects, including feasibility studies for multimodal corridors and intersections, concept and final design plans for projects located throughout the region, and construction documents to support implementation of multidisciplinary design work overseen by you and the firm. You will share your knowledge with staff and clients, applying state-of-the-art approaches to create sustainable multimodal transportation networks as well as mentoring your colleagues to ensure that our projects are consistently of the highest quality.
As an experienced project manager, you lead many of the Northeast design projects with careful attention to scope, schedule, budget, client satisfaction, and team happiness. You help lead business development efforts and pursuits for the Boston office and across the Northeastern region. Qualifications of a Senior Multimodal Engineer:

<li>Bachelor's or master's degree in civil/transportation engineering</li>
<li>Professional engineering license (Massachusetts preferred)</li>
<li>10+ years of relevant experience developing preliminary and final design plans, specifications, estimates, engineering studies, and other engineering documents</li>
<li>3+ years of experience in a consulting firm or similar, managing and delivering projects for public sector clients and pursuing and winning work</li>
<li>Experience in Complete Streets and bicycle and pedestrian facility design</li>
<li>Familiarity with national and local engineering standards, including but not limited to MassDOT, City of Boston, AASHTO, NACTO, MUTCD, Highway Capacity Manual, Highway Safety Manual, and ITE/or ITE guidance documents</li>
<li>Interest in multimodal and active transportation design including Complete Streets</li>
<li>Experience working on engineering projects for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and the City of Boston, and/or surrounding municipalities </li>
<li>Experience preparing transportation and local agency permit documents</li>
</ul>
It would be a plus if you have any of the following:
<ul>
<li>Proficiency in one or more of the following: AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, InRoads, Synchro, Highway Capacity Software, SIDRA, or VISSIM</li>
<li>Experience with a stormwater design software is a plus (e.g. HydroCAD or HydroFlow)</li>
<li>Experience reviewing construction plans, supporting construction bidding, and overseeing construction operations</li>

This full-time position typically works a flexible schedule of 40 hours a week. We also provide employees with the flexibility and necessary equipment to work from home 2 days per week. Our Boston office is conveniently located in Boston's Downtown Crossing, directly adjacent to the iconic Boston Common, within a short walk to all of the major rapid transit lines and close to both North Station and South Station commuter rail lines.
