The Position:
This role supports areas of field Service operation within Sungrow USA related to commissioning, warranty, and Operations and Maintenance (O&amp;M) of the expanding installed sites in the region. Reporting to the regional field service supervisor, this position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and commissioning support of PV inverters and ancillary equipment/ systems, usually at the customer’s site or at a staging yard/warehouse. Ensures that personnel and safety issues are given priority to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Perform a variety of technical assignments involving the installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of string and central solar inverter and/or BESS Systems, PCS, batteries, and ancillary equipment.</li>
<li>Perform general troubleshooting and diagnosis under Sungrow’s maintenance and repair guidelines. </li>
<li>As needed, support and perform pre-commissioning (with and without grid emulator) and commissioning of solar inverters and BESS systems within schedule and work plans </li>

Job Description The Solar Maintenance Technician is and entry-level position responsible for the safe, productive repairs and maintenance of Commercial and Utility Scale Solar PV plants. From performing preventative maintenance and inspections, to troubleshooting and making repairs to maximize production, the Solar Maintenance Technician gets to exercise a verity of skill sets and has constant opportunities to learn more. This role will encompass performing the preventative and corrective maintenance on the solar modules, strings, trackers, and inverters.
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Uphold a high level of safety standards in everything that you do</li>
<li>Conducting routine preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities</li>
<li>Willingness to learn the NEC code, electrical theory, and industry best practices</li>
<li>DC and AC testing included but not limited to polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, communication, insulation resistance testing, I-V curve tracing</li>
<li>Interpret schematics to understand system layouts and connections</li>
<li>Maintain a schedule for routine maintenance, service, trouble shooting and repair of equipment at solar photovoltaic facilities including but not limited to: Single Axis trackers, Central or String Inverters, Transformers, AC and DC disconnects, Substation equipment</li>
<li>Maintaining company property such as vehicle, tools, meters and plant stock</li>
<li>Maintaining service reports, inspection documentation, safety paperwork, and spare parts inventory</li>
<li>Provide maintenance and troubleshooting training to technicians and others as needed</li>
<li>Identify safety hazards and take appropriate action to remove or eliminate hazards</li>
</ul>
Qualification Requirements
<ul>
<li>Familiarity with electrical systems and components</li>
<li>Proficiency in using power tools for repair tasks</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately</li>
<li>Proficiency with MS Office suite</li>
<li>Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight</li>
<li>Valid Driver's License</li>
<li>Working knowledge and experience operating under OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, and 70B</li>
<li>OSHA 10 General Industry certificate</li>
<li>Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends</li>
