The Part-time (up to 20 hrs.) Older Adult Peer Specialist provides support and assistance to individuals aged 55+ living in Boston. This role supports the development of self-determination, self-advocacy skills, and other strategies that promote recovery and healthy aging. The person must be willing to share their own recovery story when appropriate to promote the well-being of older adults. 
Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese strongly preferred, with cultural competence in working with Chinese older adults.
What you will be doing:

DESCRIPTION and REQUIREMENTS:
We seek a dynamic, experienced, culturally-aware teacher for a progressive Montessori program that honors educational best practices. Assistant Teachers have completed an undergraduate degree and are working toward professional training in education, which may include Montessori certification and/or a graduate degree in education. The Assistant Teacher attends regular meetings and observes, advises, and serves as a mentor and role model in the areas of student needs, preparing the classroom environment, curriculum development and delivery, classroom routines, family communication, and record keeping as directed by the Lead Teacher.
