 Additional perks &amp; benefits for year round employees POSITION SUMMARY The Infant Head Teacher is responsible for meeting the daily needs of infants 6 weeks to 15 months. The Infant Head Teacher must be able to provide excellent guest service by encouraging engagement among all children in the classroom, and continuously communicating with parents/guardians about their child's experience during that given day. The Infant Head Teacher is responsible for observing and documenting children's development as well as creating developmentally appropriate curriculum. Teachers must maintain the facility in a healthy and safe working order, while observing all state mandated regulations. This is a full-time year-round, benefit eligible position. Starting wage for this position is $24.00/hour. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

<li>Build relationships with children and families through daily interactions</li>
<li>Ensure age appropriate activities and schedules are followed in your classroom</li>
<li>Assure all infants needs are met and documented through the day</li>
<li>Observe and assess infants development over time</li>
<li>Develop and implement age appropriate curriculum</li>
<li>Maintain a cooperative and supportive attitude with other staff members</li>
<li>Be knowledgeable of the state child care rules and regulations and follow as outlined</li>
<li>Attend monthly meetings with Childcare Manager</li>
<li>Complete annual professional development</li>
<li>Perform administrative tasks as needed</li>
<li>Train and ensure all childcare staff knows emergency policies and procedures</li>
<li>Participate and assist in, coordination of emergency procedures</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
 EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Education: 
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma, or equivalent required</li>
<li>Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate, or Vermont Career Ladder III, required</li>
<li>Bachelor or Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or 21 College credits in a related field</li>
</ul>
 Experience: 
<ul>
<li>At least 1 year experience working in a licensed child care center</li>
<li>Experience with caring for infants</li>
</ul>
 QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS 
<ul>
<li>Must be 20 years of age, or older</li>
<li>Must meet or exceed Vermont Standards for a Teacher Associate or higher</li>
<li>First Aid &amp; CPR certification</li>
<li>Strong communication skills, written and verbal</li>
</ul>
 PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
