Job Description Summary Turtle Island Children's Center, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, is a year-round play and nature based early childhood program, serving infants through pre-Kindergarteners. We are located on magnificent grounds along the North Branch River in the Capital City of Montpelier, Vermont. Early childhood is a time of wondrous intellectual development as well as social and emotional learning. Children are explorers and investigators. We are&nbsp;seeking a Childcare Floating Teacher&nbsp;to join our team! You will assist in the development and supervision of children ages 3 months to five years old. We have three classrooms with two teachers in each room.&nbsp; Responsibilities:

<li>Supervise and interact&nbsp;with children in a safe and compassionate manner</li>
<li>Support lead teachers in implementation of creative activities to support our&nbsp;children's development</li>
<li>Create a positive and nurturing environment for&nbsp;children</li>
<li>Perform a variety of tasks, such as dressing, feeding, diapering and overseeing play</li>
<li>Disinfecting or sanitizing as needed&nbsp;</li>
<li>Covering breaks</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Previous experience with childcare or other related fields</li>
<li>Passionate about working with children</li>
<li>Ability to build rapport with children and their parents</li>
<li>Positive and patient demeanor</li>
