Shared Public Health Nurse (Part-time)

The Foothills Health District (FHD) seeks qualified applicants for a ½ to ¾ time shared Public Health Nurse position. This benefited position includes flexible work week options. Under the general supervision of the FHD Health Director and the FHD Boards of Health, the Public Health Nurse is responsible for all public health nursing functions for the FHD, which serves the towns of Goshen, Westhampton, Whately, and Williamsburg.

Job Functions: Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

• Create, promote, implement, and evaluate public health clinics and educational programs.
• Conduct education and training, such as tick awareness, Stop the Bleed, and Narcan Training.
• Assist at vaccination clinics and administer immunizations.
• Conduct communicable disease investigations using the MA Virtual Epidemiological Network (MAVEN).
• Work with FHD towns and regional organizations on specific programs in response to the Opioid Recovery and Remediation Fund (ORRF).
• Provide case management as needed.
• Other duties related to public health nursing.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or ability to obtain.
• Current RN license by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Current certification in CPR.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in program planning, community nursing, and health education, along with knowledge of public health laws and regulations, is preferred.

Salary: Salary commensurate with experience and skill set.
