- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice\n
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification (required)\n
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification (preferred)\n

Responsibilities:
\n
- \n
- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit, ensuring safety, comfort, and personalized attention during labor and postpartum phases.\n
- Monitor and assess maternal and fetal wellbeing continuously, utilizing appropriate medical interventions when necessary.\n
- Support patients through natural childbirth, epidural anesthesia, or other birthing options, tailoring care to individual preferences.\n
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, labor progression, and medical interventions.\n
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, staff, and parents to ensure a smooth birthing experience.\n
- Administer medications and assist with procedures following hospital protocols.\n
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies or complications during labor and delivery.\n

What You Bring:
\n
- \n
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) or Obstetrics (OB) nursing experience in a hospital setting.\n
- Previous travel nursing experience is highly preferred, demonstrating adaptability to different hospital environments.\n
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure during high-stakes situations.\n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams.\n
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.\n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.\n

Preferred Education & Experience:
\n
- \n
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred but not required.\n
- Experience working in a Level I or Level II maternity unit is advantageous.\n
- Familiarity with various birthing options and labor management protocols.\n
\n\n
Additional Requirements:
\n

- Must be willing to work at least one holiday during the assignment, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s.\n
- RTO (Request for Time Off) must be limited to 5 days.\n
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from Monadnock Community Hospital; local travelers are not eligible for this assignment.\n
