Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Berlin, Vermont.

Beds: 88 Inpatient Beds
Unit Name: Women and Childrens Unit
Unit Specialty: Labor and Delivery, Newborn, Postpartum, LDRP
Total # of Unit Beds/Suites/Deliveries: 7 inpatient beds, 3 triage rooms, approximately 300 deliveries/year
Minimum # Years Clinical Experience Required: 1 * must have LDRP experience
Minimum # Years Clinical Experience in Specialty Required: 1
Certifications Required: BLS, NRP
Certifications Preferred: ACLS, PALS
Nurse Patient Ratio by shift: Active Labor or on Pitocin 1:1, Couplets 2 or 3 (4 or 6) patients depending on census/acuity
Circulate/Scrub as applicable: No
CNA/ PCT: Y N #staff per shift: We have 3 LNAs/Perinatal Techs. There is not always one on each shift but most shifts.
# Days of Orientation: Typically 3 12 hours shifts
Specialty Testing for Unit/Facility: U F Math test for the facility, N-95 Fit testing
Patient Care Modality: LDRP with some M/S overflow
Scrubs/color: Light blue (supplied by unit)
Shoes: Closed toe
Jewelry: Your choice needs to be removed when in OR
Hair/Beard: No Code
Nail Polish: Needs to not be chipped and nails trimmed
Documentation System: Epic, Philips Intellispace
Medication System: Pyxis
Floating Required: Y N Only as helping hands not to take an assignment
To what units/facilities: Any within the immediate organization, but just as helping hands or patient sitting
Describe the rotation: As needed depending on unit census, uncommon
Charge required: Y N Some travelers have oriented to charge after first assignment with us
Scheduling: Via When to Work application
Shift Hours: 7a-7p/7p-7a Rotation Schedule: Every 2 weeks
Self-Scheduling No Weekend Requirements: Every other
Call Requirements: Yes, 2 12 hour call shifts in a rolling 2 pay period time frame
Holiday Requirements: Yes
Patient Population (Diagnoses): Labor, Delivery, Newborn, Postpartum Occasional Med/Surg Overflow, Traige

Special Equipment: (For example: IV Pumps: Type; Invasive Monitoring; Monitors: Type; ECMO;
Ventilators: Type; ABG: Type: Electronic Fetal Monitors, Smart Pumps, Mindray cardiac monitor
Respiratory available 24/7 for support Y N
Anesthesia available 24/7 for support Y N Not always in house 24/7
Who manages ventilators: Respiratory Therapy
Unit Specific Procedures and Protocols: (For example: Drips; Infusions; Phlebotomy; Starting IVs; EKGs; Transports; Weaning; Nebulizer to Inhaler; Starting IVs, performing venipuncture, Performing EKGs; Discontinuing sheaths) IV Starts, Lab Draw (on occasion), PACU post C-section, Eat Sleep Console for NAS, Removal of epidural catheters
Additional Unit Specific Information: RNs must have LDRP experience including independence in a LDRP, including all aspects of care and experience in a community hospital environment that does not have NICU resources on sight. Unit will also take M/S overflow.
