Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Located in Boston, MA near the Dorchester and Roxbury neighborhoods, this full-time Learning Specialist opportunity serves K-12 students in a dynamic, urban school setting. This contract position runs for the current school year and offers the chance to support a diverse caseload with an emphasis on individualized learning and collaboration.

Qualified candidates must hold a Special Education license and have experience working in an urban educational environment. A reading license is preferred. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Cape Verdean Creole, or Haitian Creole is highly valued to effectively engage with students and families. Strong oral communication skills, professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting are essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing tailored instructional support to K-12 students with special needs
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Maintaining accurate records and confidentiality
  • Adapting strategies to meet the needs of a diverse student population

Hours are full time, Monday through Friday, focusing on a caseload of students requiring specialized instruction and support.
