Looking for a self-motivated, entrepreneurial, fun-loving person to run an eight-bedroom, eight-bathroom idyllic Vermont Bed and Breakfast.
Situated on a picturesque 10 acres in the Mad River Valley, the applicant MUST enjoy:
● Animals---I have a small stable on site that houses a horse, goats, donkeys and about 40 chickens.
● Cooking---You would oversee selection and preparation of all guest breakfasts.
● Baking---Afternoon treats are a must for our visitors. Again, this is your show!
● People and Conversation---Guests will be interested in your “story and journey” and it is important to be able to converse and connect with all types of personalities.
● Marketing/Social Media---Applicant would take responsibility for all social media postings. Website or print media ideas would be helpful as well.
Some other maybe less enjoyable aspects but equally as important!
● Cleaning---The Inn has a reputation for being sparkling clean and it is important to keep that tradition going.
● Outdoors---As the property is part of the B&B’s appeal you will need to occasionally get your hands dirty be it gardening, pruning, weeding, mulching, etc...
Benefits:
● Free room at the Inn with all utilities included.
● Huge amount of vacation time (~5 Months)---Early April thru Mid-June and Mid-Oct until late December.
● Lots of free time---If we don’t have many guests, you will have ample time to ski, hike, or whatever floats your boat.
● Revenue sharing over certain targets.
Whether you are looking for a new start/adventure, a “break” from life, or are a recent college graduate this job could be a perfect fit. I have no illusions/judgements and understand this might be a 1-year position for many. Couples welcome, no pets.
