Hiring Immediately, Automotive Service Manager. Great compensation with benefits.

We are seeking a Service Manager for our client near Watertown, MA. Sales are on the rise and our client needs a proven leader to drive growth. You will be joining a dealership with an energetic service advisor team, skilled technicians, a motivated executive team with resources to help you succeed, and a fantastic community reputation.

REQUIREMENTS

Previous automotive experience is REQUIRED for this position. Qualified candidates will have a proven track record of managing technicians and service advisors, demonstrate an ability to run an efficient and productive service department, and show through their work history an ability to generate sales with high customer satisfaction. We are looking for someone who works hard, communicates clearly and is interested in a real career with long term potential, not just a job.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hires, trains, motivates, and evaluates service staff.
  • Sets departmental goals and works to achieve them.
  • Monitors department performance through reports, metrics, and customer feedback.
  • Promotes teamwork within the department and across the dealership
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, local, and manufacturer policies.
  • Maintains accurate documentation and warranty procedures.
  • Coordinates training and development for employees.
  • Reviews technician productivity and payroll accuracy.
  • Builds strong customer relationships to encourage retention and referrals.
  • Communicates repair time expectations to technicians.
  • Ensures high-quality repair work through regular quality checks.
  • Maintains clean, organized work and customer areas.
  • Proactive approach to develop & support recruitment.
  • Serves as liaison with manufacturer representatives.
  • Oversees proper storage and tracking of special tools and service files.
  • Ensures customers are greeted promptly and receive accurate estimates.
  • Handles customer concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Arrives on time and follows supervisory direction.
  • Works cooperatively with colleagues and follows dealership procedures.
  • Accepts feedback constructively.
  • Provides leadership and manages team performance.
