Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide skilled nursing care in an adaptive acuity unit located in Windsor, VT. This contract opportunity requires hands-on experience in an acute care setting, focused on delivering quality patient care across a 25-bed unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1. You will be expected to occasionally deliver Progressive Care Unit (PCU) level care at a 3:1 ratio, which is a mandatory aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients using adaptive acuity protocols.
- Manage and administer IV drips safely and effectively; drip experience is required.
- Take charge responsibilities during shifts, coordinating patient care and supporting the team.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Support unit functions in compliance with hospital policies and quality standards.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Proven acute care nursing experience, including drip management.
- Prior charge nurse experience is required.
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing patient care requirements.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

This contract position offers a holiday pay multiplier and no overnight orientation period. Holiday shifts are compensated with a 1.25x multiplier. Please note that overtime hours will be paid at the regular rate, and shift calls or callbacks are not applicable.
