Addison Group is partnering with a leading hospital in Lebanon, NH, to hire multiple Patient Access Representatives. This team plays a vital role in ensuring smooth patient intake, financial clearance, and insurance verification while delivering exceptional customer service.
Job Description:
We are hiring seven Patient Access Representatives to support front-end hospital operations. This role involves greeting patients, completing registration, verifying insurance, and educating patients on financial responsibilities. Candidates must be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and provide world-class customer service following hospital standards.
- Complete full patient registration and ensure all legal forms are properly explained and signed.
- Scan and file Protected Health Information (PHI) and prepare patient packets.
- Educate patients on financial liabilities and collect payments using compliant techniques.
- Perform cash reconciliation and secure payment entry.
- Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility.
- Obtain authorizations for scheduled and unscheduled services.
- Notify payors of inpatient visits and assist with post-discharge care coordination.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare medical necessity checks and documentation.
Qualifications:
- 0–1 year of customer service experience.
- 0–1 year of administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related field preferred.
- Ability to interpret physician orders, medical terminology, and insurance cards.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-facing role.
