Job Details:
\n
• Work 36 hours per week on day shifts
\n• RN patient ratios: 4:1 on days, 5:1 on nights
\n• Float to other units as needed
\n• Must have experience caring for patients after vascular, thoracic, colorectal, and general surgery
\n• Common diagnoses include ARDS, esophagectomies, whipples, and sepsis
\n• Required experience with chest tubes, various tubes and drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone
\n• Experience needed with lines/tubes/drains for post-surgical patients
\n• Must be comfortable with trachs/laryngectomies and telemetry monitoring
\n• Experience required with complex wounds and central line care, maintenance, and blood draws
\n• On-call responsibilities included
\n• Required certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support)

The unit shares resources with the PCU and maintains appropriate staffing ratios to ensure quality patient outcomes.
