Mold Maker / Manufacturing Technician

Location: Leominster MA

3rd Shift / Differential Pay

Job Type: Full-time, On-site

Up to $90,000 per year, based on experience and skill set

A trusted contract manufacturer specializing in custom-engineered thermoplastic, liquid silicone rubber (LSR), and thermoset components and assemblies, is seeking an experienced Mold Maker / Manufacturing Technician to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a clean, high-precision environment where craftsmanship and quality are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build new molds from raw materials using CNC and manual machining equipment

• Repair, troubleshoot, and modify existing molds to meet production requirements

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds for evaluation and maintenance

• Review and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and 3D models

• Operate a range of manual and CNC equipment, including lathes, mills, and surface grinders

• Use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and height gauges

• Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to solve tooling challenges and recommend improvements

• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment in accordance with company and industry standards

• Perform additional Tool Room-related duties as assigned

Must Haves:

• Previous experience in mold making, mold repair, or mold modification

• Proficiency in both CNC and manual machining processes

• Ability to interpret complex blueprints and work accurately with tight tolerances

Additional Qualifications:

• Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)

• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively

• Prior experience in medical device manufacturing, aerospace, or similarly regulated industries is a plus
