Direct Counsel is seeking a Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney to join a leading Am Law 100 firm. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies for top-tier clients, leveraging your expertise in machine learning and technical innovation to provide strategic intellectual property guidance. You’ll collaborate with a team of attorneys recognized as leaders in the IP field and contribute to shaping solutions for some of the world’s most innovative companies.
What You’ll Do:

Draft and prosecute patent applications in electrical engineering, computer science, and machine learning technologies.

Provide strategic IP counseling to clients developing advanced technologies.

Conduct detailed technical and legal analysis to support patent prosecution strategy.

Work collaboratively with clients and colleagues in a team-oriented environment.
What We’re Looking For:

Strong background in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with extensive Machine Learning experience.

Minimum of 4 years of patent prosecution experience.

Active state bar membership and compliance with CLE requirements.

USPTO registration required.

Superior academic credentials and excellent writing skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary range of $310,000 – $390,000, commensurate with experience (adjusted for flex-time schedules).
