Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY
Clinical Coach (Technical Trainer – Solea® Dental Laser)
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Education & Coaching, the Clinical Coach delivers high-quality remote and on-site training to ensure successful adoption and integration of the Solea® Laser platform. The role serves as a technical trainer, clinical consultant, and onboarding specialist for dental practices, guiding clinicians and staff through best-practice utilization, workflow optimization, and early clinical mastery. This position plays a critical part in driving early utilization, customer confidence, and long-term clinical success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESClinical Coaching & Technical Education
- Deliver in-office and virtual training sessions on proper use, indications, and integration of the Solea® laser.
- Provide hands-on demonstrations, procedural walkthroughs, and workflow coaching tailored to each practice.
- Apply adult-learning principles to guide clinicians and staff through skill development and confidence building.
- Conduct individual and group coaching using structured pathways and best practices.
Customer Onboarding & Adoption
- Lead the post-sale onboarding process, with emphasis on the first 90 days of utilization.
- Develop and manage in-office coaching schedules for assigned accounts; monitor progress and provide targeted refreshers.
- Guide clinicians in incorporating Solea into daily workflows to enhance efficiency and patient experience.
Clinical Consultation & Support
- Serve as a trusted clinical resource for case selection, settings, advanced techniques, and operational optimization.
- Engage dentists, hygienists, assistants, and office teams in clinically relevant conversations to strengthen mastery.
- Collect customer feedback and share insights with internal stakeholders to improve products and education.
Technical Training Expertise (Dental Laser Focus)
- Explain laser fundamentals (laser-tissue interaction, energy settings, safety protocols) in accessible, clinical terms.
- Coach on best practices for safety, maintenance, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of the Solea® laser.
- Provide technique guidance for soft tissue, hard tissue, and anesthesia-free workflows.
Internal Collaboration & Documentation
- Document all training interactions in the designated CRM (e.g., Salesforce).
- Collaborate with Sales, Market Development, Education & Training, and Technical Support to ensure cohesive customer experience.
- Participate in team calibration sessions and skill development to maintain instructional consistency.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCERequired:
- Experience in dental practices utilizing advanced technologies.
- Experience providing clinical education, chairside support, or technical training to clinicians or clinical staff.
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to simplify complex clinical concepts.
- Comfort working with rapidly evolving technology and equipment.
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with laser-based or energy-based clinical technologies.
- Experience managing customer onboarding or clinical implementations in a field-based environment.
- Salesforce or CRM experience.
- Bilingual (French, Spanish, others)
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Certification or associate’s degree in dental hygiene (RDH) or international dental school (DDS/DMD)
- Laser Safety Officer certification (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe)
POSITION LOCATION
Remote, with travel as needed to support customer coaching and training initiatives. Northeast based candidates are preferred, ideally located near a major airport. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Approximately 75% travel, primarily within an assigned territory with regular out of state travel. Occasional travel across the United States and Canada may be required as needed. WORKING CONDITIONS
- Dental office environment during customer visits.
- Comfort working with clinical equipment and performing procedural demonstrations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during training sessions.
COMPENSATION RANGE DISCLOSURE: The expected base salary for this role is $90,000 to $110,000 annually. This market-based range considers national averages and the Boston area. Actual pay will vary based on skills, experience, certifications (e.g., laser), geography and internal alignment.
