Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher position is available in a K-12 school located in Rochester, NH. This contract role for the current school year involves working primarily with K-3 students in both co-teaching and resource room settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers in co-teaching environments
- Manage resource room activities supporting students requiring additional academic assistance
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
- Maintain accurate records and municate effectively with parents and school staff
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with K-3 students in both co-teaching and resource room models
- Knowledge of strategies for supporting students with various learning disabilities
- Strong munication and collaborative skills
- Ability to adapt lesson plans to acmodate individual student needs
