Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Help Desk Analyst II to join our team in Andover, Massachusetts. This long-term contract position involves supporting a campus-wide migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11 at a prestigious private high school. The role requires hands-on technical expertise and a commitment to ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruptions to the academic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Perform Windows 10 to Windows 11 upgrades on approximately 280 devices, including faculty computers, student labs, and shared workstations.
• Collaborate with the internal IT team to follow and implement the established migration plan.
• Install and configure tools such as Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, and other necessary software.
• Ensure data integrity by conducting backups and performing restorations before and after upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues encountered during the migration process.
• Prepare and stage new equipment for deployment across the campus.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users during the transition period.
• Maintain detailed records of completed work, upgraded devices, and any technical challenges.
• Assist with macOS support initiatives if applicable, leveraging cross-platform expertise.• Demonstrated experience with Windows OS upgrades in a detail-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft 365, Intune, and Defender for system configuration and management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Familiarity with data backup and restoration processes during system transitions.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to defined project timelines and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and aptitude for creating clear documentation.
• Experience with macOS support is highly desirable and may lead to extended opportunities.
