Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 special education teaching position is available in Cambridge, MA, for the current school year on a contract basis. This role requires a dedicated professional skilled in providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs across kindergarten through 12th grade.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs and state standards.
- Adapt and modify curriculum materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to promote an inclusive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required by school policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings.
- Strong understanding of various disabilities and effective instructional techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
