Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 special education teaching position is available in Cambridge, MA, for the current school year on a contract basis. This role requires a dedicated professional skilled in providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs across kindergarten through 12th grade.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs and state standards.
Adapt and modify curriculum materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to promote an inclusive learning environment.
Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required by school policies.

Qualifications:

Valid Special Education teaching certification.
Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings.
Strong understanding of various disabilities and effective instructional techniques.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
