Job DescriptionPackaging Systems Maintenance Specialist About the role

Ken’s Foods is expanding and looking for a skilled maintenance pro to support our Marlborough, MA manufacturing campus. You’ll ensure the reliability of production and facility systems in a climate‑controlled environment while partnering with operations to maximize uptime.

Core responsibilities

• Proactively diagnose and correct issues with plant components and systems across the entire site.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated packaging machinery.
• Service pumps using sound pump theory and practice.
• Apply pneumatic and hydraulic principles to locate faults and perform repairs.
• Interpret electrical schematics to chase down failures and restore performance.
• Work safely on low- and high-voltage circuits; test, isolate, and repair.
• Identify and correct problems with motors, motor controls, and field devices.
• Diagnose and repair electrical control and power circuits, including PLC-controlled and solid-state equipment.
• Perform gas and arc welding and soldering for lasting fixes.
• Support and maintain utilities: steam, hot water, compressed air, and refrigeration.
• Execute basic plumbing and carpentry tasks to support facility upkeep.
• Locate and order replacement parts from manuals/prints; follow written and verbal instructions clearly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and at least 3 years of related industrial maintenance experience, or equivalent education/experience blend.
• Proficiency across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines within manufacturing.
• Ability to complete the Standard Timing Model mechanical test with a 60% or better score.

Massachusetts license pathway

For Massachusetts only; Role requires Special to Operate Engineering License (Steam Plant) -- License training will be provided if not already in possession.
