A healthcare professional is sought to provide dedicated nursing care for a middle school student on a one-to-one basis. This contract position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) skilled in school nursing and specialized care. The role involves working closely with a student who requires full-time support during the school day, including transporting on the bus and performing tracheostomy care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care and health services to the assigned student throughout the school day.
- Monitor and manage the students tracheostomy needs with attention to safety and proper protocol.
- Provide health supervision during bus transportation to and from school, ensuring the students well-being.
- Collaborate with educational staff to support the students health-related needs in the school environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of nursing assessments, care provided, and any changes in the students condition.
- Respond promptly to any health emergencies or changes in the students status.
Qualifications:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state.
- Experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or specialized nursing for children with medical needs.
- Competence in tracheostomy care and related medical procedures.
- Ability to provide supportive care during bus transportation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with school staff and family.
Location: Near Milford, MA
Contract Duration: January 20, 2026 June 1, 2026 (school year contract)
