SMT Technician
Location: Merrimack, New Hampshire
Department: Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Range: $18–$25 per hour, based on experience

Position Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated SMT Technician to join our dynamic electronics manufacturing team in Merrimack, NH. As an SMT Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient operation of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment used to assemble printed circuit boards. Your responsibilities will include machine setup, calibration, basic maintenance, and performing visual inspections to verify product quality. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative production environment and takes pride in precision work.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety. While previous SMT experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates the ability to learn quickly and follow written and verbal instructions. Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and tear down SMT machines according to production schedules and specifications

  • Load/unload components onto SMT feeders and ensure proper alignment

  • Calibrate machines and verify settings for specific production runs

  • Conduct routine visual inspections for quality control and adherence to specifications

  • Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and quality guidelines

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and routine preventive maintenance on equipment

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets

  • Accurately complete production documentation and report any issues

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • SMT or electronics assembly experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)

  • Basic computer skills and understanding of manufacturing processes

  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and diagrams

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination

  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs

  • Positive attitude, punctual, and team-oriented with the ability to work independently
