Full time Groundskeeper/Laborer Needed for Beautiful Private Estate
Beautiful Private Estate in Dover, MA on 250 acres seeking dependable, motivated, hands-on Groundskeeper/Laborer to join our growing team! These positions are full-time and year-round with a very competitive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, IRA). The work includes assisting with farm support, grounds work, property maintenance and requires working in variable weather conditions. This is a highly motivated, collaborative and skilled team that meets the high expectations of the principal.
Work hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00a to 3:30p. May require some flexibility during warmer seasons.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Regular lawn care and maintenance
- Raking
- Path maintenance
- Ability to operate the following machines: chainsaw, pole saw, string trimmer, small tractor with attachments
- Moving rocks, logs and other vegetation as needed.
- Climbing ladders, proper use of pressure washers and hand tools
- Removing trees up to 12-15" in diameter, including fallen limbs. Plant health care, IPM and arborist experience a plus.
- Snow removal including: shoveling and plowing.
Skills and Abilities:
- Safe operation and use of equipment. Hydraulics license and experience with farm tractors a plus.
- DOT health card and experience driving F550 sized work trucks.
- Must be able to lift and shift 70 lbs. comfortably.
- Ability to bend, kneel, walk, and work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to be flexible as tasks and priorities are variable and evolve.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be able to conduct strenuous and physically demanding tasks.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without required sponsorship.
- Must have current and valid driver’s license and successfully pass background screening.
