Job DescriptionCommercial Fleet Diesel Service Technician

Role snapshot: Keep a dedicated fleet safe, compliant, and running at peak performance by combining hands-on maintenance with advanced diagnostics—both in the shop and on the road.

Core responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel tractors and trailers (mechanical and electrical) using standard testing methods and diagnostic software.
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers.
  • Respond to emergency road calls to minimize downtime.
  • Complete DOT inspections per FMCSA requirements.
  • Meet physical demands: lift/pull 75 lbs+ without restriction, stand/lie for extended periods, and maintain the flexibility to access equipment components.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
  • Own essential tools needed for daily work.
  • Technical/advanced degree or 2+ years of equivalent maintenance experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL.
  • ASE in Preventive Maintenance and Brakes preferred.

Compensation & schedule

  • Pay: $30.00–$35.00 per hour (experience and certifications determine rate).
  • Sign-on Bonus: $2,000 (paid out within the first 90 days).
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
