Adecco staffing is seeking a test engineer, to support a client located in Boxborough, MA - This is a temp to hire opportunity.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Test Engineer is responsible for managing and executing all applicable environmental validation testing to support existing and new product development. In this role, the Test Engineer will be the single point of contact to coordinate activities including test setup, test execution and report generation as required by the Core and New Products engineering teams. This role works closely with peers in the global engineering organization as well as operations and project management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 - 
Must be familiar with test equipment such as DMM, AC/DC variable
 
voltage sources, Hi-Pot, Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Power
Meter, Calipers, Micrometer, IR Temp Gun, Flow Meters
- 
Ability to interpret standards to determine the required testing for a product to meet a specific standard (e.g., EN61326, UL913)
 - 
Run test equipment for EMC/EMI testing which would include:
- 
RFI testing
 - 
EMI testing
 - 
Burst/Electrical Fast Transient (EFT)
 - 
Electrostatic Discharge
 - 
Conducted Immunity
 
 - 
 - 
Run test equipment for Vibration testing.
 - 
Design, fabricate and implement test setups to meet testing requirements
 - 
Proficient in troubleshooting and root cause analysis with the ability to recommend changes and/or fixes.
 - 
Develop, execute test plans and resulting reports
 
· Coordinate testing with 3rd party labs
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
· Familiarity with UL (508, 913, 353), CSA, FCC, CE EN61326) standards
· Experience with Laplace II test cell
· Software languages LabView, C
QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION REQUIRED
- 
Associates degree in engineering or related technical field
 - 
Bachelor degree in engineering or related science is preferred
 
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 
5+ years of experience in Test engineering field
 
Pay Details: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour
