- Unit: Inpatient Progressive Care Unit (IPCU) – Adaptive Acuity\n
- Start Date: December 29, 2025\n
- End Date: March 30, 2026\n
- Duration: 13-week contract\n
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week\n
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend and holiday coverage as required\n
\n\nPCU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n
- \n
- Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license\n
- ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)\n
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience\n
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required\n
- Charge nurse experience (must be willing and able to take charge as needed)\n
- Drip and infusion experience required\n
- ICU nursing experience strongly preferred\n
- At least 3 months of previous travel nursing experience required\n
- Willingness to float to any inpatient unit within RN scope of practice\n
- Experience in small, critical access healthcare facilities preferred\n
- Must have own vehicle for transportation\n
\n\nPCU RN Responsibilities\n
- \n
- Deliver high-quality patient care in an adaptive acuity Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting (typical nurse:patient ratio 1:5; may provide PCU care at 3:1 ratio as needed)\n
- Serve as charge nurse as required\n
- Administer and monitor drips and infusions\n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
- Float to other inpatient units as needed within RN scope of practice\n
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold healthcare facility standards\n
- Participate in orientation and ongoing nursing training as required\n
