Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school located in Essex Junction, VT. This role is contracted for the full school year and focuses on delivering specialized instruction to support and enhance the learning experience of students with diverse educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure appropriate acmodations and modifications.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate records in pliance with district and state regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to design and adapt curriculum for students with diverse learning challenges.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a mitment to student success.
