Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for skilled Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students in a dynamic public school setting in Boston, MA. These full-time contract positions cover leave assignments through mid-2026 and are ideal for educators with experience and moderate-level special education licensure, particularly at the secondary level.
Locations and Assignments:
- Two positions at a high school serving grades 9-12, full-time from 7:30 AM to 2:10 PM, through June 2026.
- One position at a middle school serving grades 6-8, full-time from 7:50 AM to 2:40 PM, through March 2026.
Key Qualifications:
- Moderate level special education certification
- Proven experience instructing secondary-level students with special needs
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including general education teachers, therapists, and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state regulations
- Support social and emotional development alongside academic goals
