Our receptionists are the backbone of our team, ensuring every patient’s visit is seamless from the first phone call to check-out.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for their appointments
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about scheduling, insurance, and services
- Coordinate appointments and manage the dental office schedule
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and handle pre-authorizations
- Manage and update patient records using Dentrix EMR
- Collect co-pays and manage billing at the front desk
- Assist in the preparation of treatment plans and provide cost estimates to patients
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Qualifications:
- Experience using Dentrix EMR software is required
- Previous experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable handling financial transactions and discussing payments with patients
- Familiarity with insurance billing and pre-authorizations
- Team player with a positive and professional demeanor
