Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing serving a K-12 caseload in a school setting located near Nashua, NH. This contract position begins ASAP and extends through June 17, 2026, requiring 32.5 hours per week on-site. The role demands an educator with active New Hampshire licensure and certification who is experienced in school-based environments and comfortable supporting students across all K-12 grade levels.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, addressing their unique educational and communication needs
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Utilize district resources and strategies for effective intervention and access to curriculum
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and comply with district policies including fingerprint background checks
- Participate in meetings and professional development as required
Qualifications and experience:
- Active teaching license and certification in New Hampshire as Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing
- Proven experience working within school settings serving K-12 students with hearing impairments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and families
- Ability to attend on-site daily and participate in virtual interviews via Zoom
Location will be confirmed between Hollis, NH and Brookline, NH.
