Job Summary: The Landscape Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for leading landscaping and snow removal teams throughout the year for Relax & Company clients. Due to the seasonality of the business, this position requires flexibility to switch from one role to the other depending on seasonal weather conditions. The position may interact with clients where customer service is a core responsibility. The Landscape Maintenance Team Lead position identifies and acts on customers' needs by delivering the best in customer service to all clients, existing and potential. The Landscaping team helps Relax & Company clients' properties look their best in all seasons of the year. The Landscape Maintenance Team Lead reports directly to the Landscape Maintenance Supervisor.


Landscaping Duties:

  • Responsible for leading a team of Landscape Technicians on jobsites in the absence of the Landscape Maintenance Supervisor.

  • Responsible for performing all aspects of outdoor property maintenance, including but not limited to yard cleaning, mowing, trimming, planting, gardening, etc.

  • Provides guidance and support for other team members.

  • Identify and act on customers' needs by delivering the best in customer service to all clients, existing and potential.

  • Responsible for quality control of performance maintenance services. Guides team members in ensuring quality control measures.

  • Ensure safe and efficient use of tools and equipment relating to landscaping work, including but not limited to, power tools, trucks, large mowers, etc.

  • Perform and report on routine inspection and maintenance of equipment and stocking supplies.

  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment.

  • Acts as the eyes and ears for the Landscape Maintenance Supervisor while in the field, reporting back and helping to identify issues and solutions proactively.


Snow Removal Duties:

  • Responsible for helping remove snow and ice from private roads, driveways, roofs, walkways or porches, and parking lots during the winter weather.

  • Routes cover both emergency snowstorm openings as well as routine or scheduled winter maintenance.

  • Responsible for operating equipment such as trucks, plows, backhoes, scrapers, excavators, and hand tools.

  • Responsible for routes covering both emergency snowstorm openings as well as routine or scheduled winter maintenance, providing candidates with full-time hours no matter the number of snowstorms.

  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of the snowplow equipment.

  • Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to changing conditions.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.


Experience:

  • 3-5 years of professional landscaping and snow removal experience.

  • 2-3 years of experience leading a team is preferred.

  • Experience working directly with customers.

  • Experience with vehicle maintenance and equipment repair preferred.


Licenses & Certificates:

  • Valid driver’s license without violations required.


Physical Requirements:

  • Mechanical skills to use equipment regularly.

  • Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds regularly.

  • Physical stamina to handle the long hours of performing strenuous work during the day in hot or cold weather and operation of equipment for long periods of time, often late at night or early in the morning.
