We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our engineering team. A key focus for this role is expertise in designing and working with Insulated Metal Panels (IMP) and cold room and clean room facilities in the life science sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types, with a focus on projects involving Insulated Metal Panels (IMP) and cold room facilities.
  • Develop detailed construction drawings and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural solutions into the overall project design.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and monitor construction progress, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters.
  • Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on design, construction methods, and material selection.

  • Proficient in structural analysis, design, and detailing for a variety of building types, including experience with Insulated Metal Panels (IMP) and cold room facilities.
  • Advanced skills in Revit and AutoCAD for the development of detailed construction drawings and specifications.

  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • P.E. designation is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with energy-efficient design principles, particularly in the context of cold storage and refrigeration facilities.
  • Familiarity with building codes and standards specific to cold room construction and Insulated Metal Panels.
  • Experience with sustainable building practices and LEED certification processes.
  • Familiarity with advanced modeling software or other structural analysis tools like SAP 2000, ETABS or other similar software.
