Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Topsfield, Massachusetts. This role focuses on supporting attorneys in preparing for upcoming family law trials, including divorce, guardianship, and dispute resolution cases. The ideal candidate will excel in trial preparation, document management, and client communication while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Responsibilities:
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including gathering evidence and organizing case files.
• Draft and review legal documents related to family law matters, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate scheduling for court appearances, client meetings, and other case-related activities.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates and address inquiries regarding their cases.
• Manage and organize case materials, including maintaining digital and physical records.
• Research legal precedents and relevant case law to support attorneys in building strong arguments.
• Collaborate with the legal team to ensure smooth operations during trial proceedings.
• Prepare trial exhibits and presentations to support attorneys in court.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the legal team as needed.• Proven experience as a paralegal, with a focus on family law cases.
• Strong knowledge of trial preparation processes and legal documentation.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
• Proficiency in legal research and familiarity with relevant case law.
