Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An advanced opportunity is available for a skilled Cardiac Sonographer proficient in general ultrasound imaging, specifically cardiac applications such as TEE, TTE, and Stress echo. This contract position is based in Westfield, MA, offering experienced professionals the chance to engage immediately with an established team using cutting-edge Philips ultrasound equipment. Candidates should be confident in performing comprehensive cardiac scanning techniques including M-Mode, 2-D, color, Doppler, exercise testing, and bubble studies utilizing Lumason as the imaging agent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment to perform cardiac scans and procedures.
- Conduct thorough cardiac imaging including TEE, TTE, Stress echo, and bubble studies.
- Collaborate with clinical teams according to organizational and departmental policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient data.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout all imaging processes.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in radiology or equivalent certification.
- RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification required.
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant cardiac sonography experience.
- Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record system is a plus.
- Ability to start IVs is an additional advantage.
