Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide specialized therapy services in an elementary school setting. This maternity leave contract position is located in Boston, MA, serving Pre-K through 5th grade students with a caseload of 17 children. The role offers an opportunity to support young learners in developing essential skills for academic and daily living success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide developmental and therapeutic OT interventions tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities.
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with healthcare and educational standards.
- Adapt therapy strategies to support students with diverse needs and abilities.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with experience in school-based settings.
- Skilled in delivering pediatric therapy services in educational and healthcare environments.
- Familiarity with Pre-K to 5th grade developmental milestones and caseload management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
