A global financial services cpmpany is seeking a Fund Servicing/Data Analyst for their office in Boston.
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 6-18 months
Job responsibilities
· Execute routine fund servicing transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established guidelines and procedures.
· Collaborate with operations to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in fund servicing operations.
· Stay vigilant about cybersecurity practices, proactively detecting possible threats and deploying strategic measures to safeguard information and systems
· Utilize active listening and questioning skills to understand and address client needs, fostering strong relationships and promoting deeper understanding.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, applying innovation and design thinking techniques to enhance the efficiency and resilience of our operating platform.
· Candidate must have intermediate to advance knowledge level of Excel (Knowing how to use formulas and pivot tables is a must)
· Dealing with all client and broker queries for automation purposes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
· Baseline knowledge or equivalent expertise in fund servicing operations, with a focus on executing process improvements.
· Proven ability to apply active listening and questioning techniques to understand and address client needs effectively.
· Experience in continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on applying innovation and design thinking techniques to enhance operational efficiency.
· Bachelor degree or prior work experience
· Strong technical skills including accounting principles and theories
· Knowledge of 40 ACTs Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Tax Operations
· Ability to be effective in a global operating environment and a matrix management organizations
· Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with clients and counterparties
· Quick learner both technical knowledge and systems. (experience or expertise on Alteryx, Tableau, Xceptor, Reconciliation setups, etc. will be stand out)
· Experience of working with technical teams on streamlining processes through automations & worked in the past on projects
· Results oriented; ability to create and sustain a target driven environment
· Self-Motivated with a flexible approach to working hours
