The Williston Northampton School, an independent co-educational boarding and day school located in Easthampton, MA, has a full-time, 11-month opening for an College Advising Coordinator for Student Services. The schedule for the position is Monday through Friday 40 hours per week, half day on Wednesday during a week with class Saturdays. Occasional special events (Parents Weekends, College Fairs, etc.) coverage as necessary.
The Coordinator for Student Services (CSS) primary function is to ensure a smooth flow of the office operations, and the effective management of student records related to the college admission process.
The CSS responsibilities will include but are not limited to; greeting students, families, college reps;
scheduling appointments for advisors; scheduling student appointments for the approximate 125 college
representatives that visit campus, including virtual visits; proofread college recommendations written by
college advisors; plan, coordinate, and direct all events, fairs, virtual events and workshops as part of
Willistons college advising service; manage all communication and outbound mailings, publications,
school profile and other pertinent documents; NCAA coordinator for Williston, processing requests and
follow-up documentation for student athletes; manage and account for all travel expenses for college

The successful candidate should: possess a bachelors degree and have five years of similar experience preferably in an educational setting; be able to work intuitively and independently as well as part of the Business Office team; have strong organizational skills for multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities as situations arise in fast paced environment; have the ability to understand written and oral instruction; have demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills in order to successfully interact with diverse staff, faculty, students and other constituents of the School; possess proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word; be able to work in secondary boarding school atmosphere by successfully passing mandated CORI, (criminal offender record information) SORI (sex offender record information) and fingerprint based background checks; possess a valid drivers license.
