Job Description

Seeking a Neuropsychologist to provide expertise in the cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychological assessment of cognitive impairment including mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.


  • Core responsibilities
    • Assessment and Diagnosis
      • Administer/interpret neuropsychological tests (e.g., pencil-and-paper, computerized, verbal, and visual memory tasks) to assess cognitive functions like memory, language, and attention.
      • Evaluate how Alzheimer's impacts a patient's thinking, behavior, and daily life.
      • Differentiate between Alzheimer's, normal age-related changes, and other conditions like depression or medication side effects.
    • Treatment
        • Measure treatment response and provide cognition-focused interventions.
        • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to develop plan of care for patient and loved ones.
    • Essential skills and qualifications
      • Education: A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology, followed by specialized postdoctoral training in neuropsychology. Must be licensed in the state of Massachusetts.
      • Clinical skills: Expertise in assessing and treating memory and dementia disorders, and proficiency in various testing methodologies.
      • Interpersonal skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
