Job SummaryThe Senior Project Manager plays a pivotal role in executing the Global Finance Transformation roadmap, overseeing multiple complex, cross-functional projects with a focus on data governance initiatives. This position ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives, while mitigating risks and providing clear, consistent communication to Finance leadership.Key Responsibilities
- Manage Global Finance Transformation projects from inception through implementation, primarily in data governance.
- Develop and maintain project plans for each phase, including recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Assign responsibilities, define scope of authority, and oversee project execution.
- Prepare and deliver project status reports to working groups and Finance leadership.
- Monitor timelines and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Review project proposals for resource needs, staffing, and timelines.
- Maintain resource management system with accurate allocations.
- Adhere to Project Management Institute (PMI) standards and best practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in a project-oriented environment.
- Proven track record in Finance process improvement and Finance IT project management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Program Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Strong background in cross-functional project delivery and resource coordination.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Finance data governance project experience (highly preferred).
- PMP certification (preferred).
- Experience with Smartsheet or similar project management tools.
- Prior work in telecommunications, infrastructure, or REIT industries is advantageous.
- Avoid candidates with primary backgrounds in healthcare or traditional financial services.
