Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An elementary special education teaching opportunity is available working with K-4 students in a substantially separate classroom that addresses therapeutic needs. This contract position runs from August 25, 2025, through June 19, 2026, with daily hours from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM in Springfield, MA.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Providing direct instruction and therapeutic support to K-4 students in a specialized classroom setting
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, counselors, and general education staff
• Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting strategies accordingly
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment to maximize student growth

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for elementary grades
• Experience working with K-4 students in substantially separate settings, particularly those with therapeutic requirements
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and behavior intervention strategies
• Excellent munication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs and facilitate social-emotional development
