Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in Westfield, MA, this opportunity offers a contract position within an elementary school setting, designed for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding a CCC certification. The role involves supporting a caseload of approximately 50 students at a dual language elementary school. While bilingual skills are not required, they are considered a valuable asset.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to elementary school students.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff to support student communication needs.
- Work alongside an SLPA to deliver effective therapy interventions.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student goal setting.
Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- Experience working with elementary school-age children.
- Familiarity with school-based speech therapy practices.
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively with students and staff.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
Position Details:
- Contract duration: Current school year (CSY).
- Hours: 35 hours per week.
- School hours: 8:45 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.
- One school site with two openings available.
