An elementary general education teaching opportunity is available for a leave coverage position in a 2nd grade classroom. This role is onsite at an elementary school in Waltham, MA, and spans from December 12th, 2025 through March 27th, 2026. The school day runs from 8:42 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction aligned with general education standards for a 2nd grade classroom
- Manage classroom environment to foster a positive and supportive learning atmosphere
- Collaborate with school staff and specialists to meet the diverse needs of all students
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families and administration
- Ensure compliance with district policies and Massachusetts state education regulations
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts general education teaching certification
- Proven experience teaching elementary school students, preferably at the 2nd grade level
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills in an inclusive general education setting
